We were delighted to welcome our new ward councillor Chandni Mistry to Queens Park Tennis Club on Friday.
Chandni (left, in the pink shirt) was elected as one of two Labour ward councillors last May, alongside Tristram Burden. Conrad, Mel and Steve were happy to show her around the facilities.
“It was a great opportunity to tell the story of our club, and to discuss the joys and travails of running a local parks tennis facility. Our new councillor had lots of good questions about the club’s structure and aims, and she was able to witness one of our popular junior groups in action,” said Conrad.
Chandni and Tristram will hold open surgeries for local residents at these times:
Every 1st Friday from 1230-1330 at Craven Vale Community Association in Hadlow Close.
Every 2nd Saturday from 1100-1200 at the Albion Hub, Thornsdale.
Every 3rd Saturday from 1130-1230 at St. Luke’s Church on Queen’s Park Rd.
