Yesterday’s EGM featured detailed presentations on the club’s finances and strategy moving forward, plus a frank exchange of views from our membership.
There were presentations from QPTC directors Mark Cull, Mel Bowden, Keith Stollery and Conrad Brunner, plus club secretary Pauline O’Reilly and juniors coach Jimmy Smith. Thanks to all members who attended, asking probing questions and sharing useful ideas for the future.
Areas discussed included membership (up 70 per cent), forthcoming budget targets, annual membership fees, court usage and clubhouse usage.
Thanks to Charlie Baines for chairing the meeting. Charlie took the opportunity to thank the many people who have contributed over the last year, providing an invaluable service to the club and its members.
Please get in touch with the club directors if you were unable to attend but would like to learn more about the workings of QPTC. Contact admin ‘at’ qptc.co.uk.
This cannot be said often enough: QPTC is a volunteer-run community interest company, and we actively welcome contributions – large and small – from our membership. There will an opportunity to find out more at the Annual General Meeting in June (date to be confirmed).
