Meriel Beattie writes to tell us: “A group of the independent shops, artists and cafes in the ‘village’ part of Kemptown (along St George’s Road) have formed a collective and are staging a Christmas Shopping evening this coming Thursday, December 5, from 5pm to 8.30pm.

“It’s the first in what we hope will be a series of community-generated events aimed at celebrating and promoting the independent businesses and makers in the area.”
