Pauline writes: “Spring is here at last and time for us all to come out of hibernation. The clocks go forward at the weekend so we’ll have an extra hour of light on Sunday and on Monday we really start the tennis season with our evening sessions so dust off your racquets and come and have a hit with old friends and rivals.
Mondays and Fridays from 5.30pm until dusk
Sunday afternoons from 2-6pm
Monday morning drop-in 10.30-12
I know many of you have been playing valiantly throughout the winter on mossy courts, in wet and slippery conditions (even in the snow) and you will have noticed that courts 1 and 2 are being re-surfaced. All the work on the courts should be completed by the middle/end of April. In the meantime we will play on courts 3 and 4 and on the lower courts 5 and 6 if necessary, also for our Parks League matches which start on 10th April.
Those of you who were members before we brought in the ClubSpark system have a date for renewal of 1st April. You will receive an automated email from ClubSpark in the next few days with the new fee and a request for payment and to re-register (or to register, if you haven’t done so already) Please do not ignore this. When you register as a member you can book courts free of charge so please make sure you do this. You will receive reminders to pay but after three weeks your membership will lapse.
You can pay by cheque, payable to Queens Park Tennis Club or by Bank Transfer: Sort Code 30-91-25-25, Account No: 00523357, Ref: your email address.
With best wishes to you all for a successful and enjoyable season.
