We are pleased to be able to confirm that Queens Park Tennis Head Coach Mel
Bowden has extended his coaching contract with the club, effective from 1 st October
2025.
Over the past eight years Mel has been central to both the development of our club
as a whole and to the construction and support of a range of different types of
coaching for all levels of ability, both for members and for non-members.
Mel’s work and commitment has directly impacted every member of the club in a
positive manner. Mel also provides guidance, support and management to the other
coaching staff engaged with the club.
We are all pleased that Mel has agreed to extend his coaching relationship with the
club at such and exciting and encouraging time for the club.
Over the coming months Mel will continue to deliver his own existing schedule of
coaching sessions as well as taking time to manage and support the development of
our new and exciting coaching arrangements with the appointment of Sam Reah
Smith as our new Assistant Tennis Coach from September 2025.
