Clubhouse To Close For Building Works
There will be major building works around the clubhouse area over the next two months, with the result that the clubhouse (and loos) will be out of bounds to members and visitors from April 19 (next Monday).
The council are installing a wheelchair ramp, creating a new entrance to the club via East Drive, with the new ramp curling around the edge of “Henman Hill” facing court 2.
For the clubhouse, significant repairs and decorations will be done to the structure of the building, as part of QPTC’s lease agreement with Brighton & Hove City Council.
Both jobs will be done at the same time, but unfortunately this does mean the clubhouse will be effectively off limits until mid June approximately.
All six tennis courts will remain open throughout, but members and visitors will need to access courts 1-4 via the north entrance, using the gates to courts 3 & 4.
